The recognition follows a period of record tourism growth for Georgia, driven in particular by European travellers and by high-value visitors from the Gulf region. Georgian tourism authorities have credited targeted marketing campaigns, new partnerships with regional travel agencies, and the development of luxury packages combining wine experiences, cultural exploration, mountain activities and heritage sites.

Why Tbilisi is trending

Several factors are driving the surge.
