Georgia and Luxembourg Reaffirm Strong Bilateral Dialogue at Council of Europe Meeting

On 15 May 2026, within the framework of the 135th Session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in Chișinău, Georgia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili, met with Luxembourg’s Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Xavier Bettel.
The Significance of Georgia Luxembourg Relations
The meeting highlighted the excellent and constructive relations between Georgia and Luxembourg, reaffirming the importance of continued political dialogue and cooperation within the European framework, particularly in the context of Georgia Luxembourg relations.
Discussions focused on Georgia’s relations with the European Union, regional developments, and the country’s ongoing economic and political progress. Particular attention was given to Georgia’s strategic role in regional connectivity and its growing importance as a bridge between Europe and the wider region.
The ministers also exchanged views on current security challenges and the situation in Georgia’s occupied territories, while reviewing opportunities for enhanced cooperation in multilateral formats.
The meeting once again demonstrated the friendly and open dialogue between Georgia and Luxembourg, as well as Luxembourg’s continued interest in developments in Georgia and the wider South Caucasus region.
