Georgia Opens First Honorary Consulate in Luxembourg
In a historic milestone for Georgian–Luxembourgish relations, Georgia inaugurated its first Honorary Consulate in Luxembourg with an opening ceremony at the iconic Cercle Cité. Ambassador Vakhtang Makharoblishvili and newly appointed Honorary Consul Peter Sodermans led the event, which was also attended by Serge Hoffmann, Mayor of Habscht—the municipality to which Roodt-Eisch belongs. The Honorary Consulate, based in Roodt-Eisch, will serve as a bridge for cultural exchange, academic cooperation, and economic partnerships, starting with a Georgia–Luxembourg Business Seminar and upcoming trade missions. This opening marks a new chapter in strategic diplomacy and collaboration between the two countries.
